i've got that bug again.

i make my big move (from utah to texas) at the end of the month. with that in the hindsight of my mind, i've been shopping around for some new decor for my new house. this can be a very bad and dangerous thing for me, as i'll spend all my money on house decor...

so far i've found a few things that i ABSOLUTELY MUST HAVE. i don't know how i've lived without them before... i've also found some great inspos that i plan on using when the actual decorating of the room begins.

must have item:

bird embroidery from deer little fawn.

this is one of the color pallets i'm currently obsessed with. aqua (blue), red, and black.

i really love, off to the side on the shelves, the empty frame hanging on the wall, and all the pictures.

i also really like the shelving and knick knacks on the shelves.

again, love the plethora of pictures hanging on the wall. i also love the tree decal and the torso with the necklaces on it. different, but awesome.

i love the colors in this room and all the random things going on. from all the pictures on the wall, to the decorative pillows and even some of the furniture pieces... i love this room.

i love decorating. its a good thing too because about every 6 months i move, and i change my mind on how i want things to look!

well, i'd like to update on a few of those.

the knitting/sewing/crosstiching/crocheting one.

folks.

i've learned to knit beanies. and i'm addicted i must addmitt.

(can you tell i have an addictive personality?)

i'm also working on the sewing thing, AND the being creative stuff.

i'm doing good here!

anyway, i'm selling the beanies here for little kids,

but can also make adult sizes, so if you want one, let me know!

the year of learning.

different cultures have different significances for each year.

according to the chinese calendar, 2010 is the year of the tiger.

another has claimed 2010 the year fat becomes phat.

i, however, am declaring 2010 the year of learning, growth, and new beginnings.

there is just so much i want to learn, see, experience, and do!

i'm an ambitious person by nature.

a yellow through and through.

but this year, i'm going to stop dreaming about the things i want to do,

and actually do them.

so, what do i want to learn and do?

:

{knit/cross stitch/sew(well)}

{web design/(more)computer skills}

{open an etsy shop}

{see the world}

{finish at least the 1st draft of my book}

{go to disneyland}

{read more}

{be more creative}

{get better at photography/photo editing}

{find the perfect boots}

and now that i've blogged about it all,

its like a binding contract.

i will do these things.
