my letters to the universe no. 2

i just thought i'd share what's currently on my mind right now. that way, everyone can see how frivolously shallow i am and i can empty my thoughts. yay us.
okay, first and foremost:

dear miley cyrus,
your new hair cut. (YIKES).

um, i actively try to avoid any and all news/pictures of miley "disgustoid" cyrus, but since the world cares what she does with her hair i feel like its been all up in my face for the last couple of days. therefore, to join in the totally-twisted-concerns of humanity i will share my opinion: first of all, WTH. second of all, there's only room for one Justin Beiber in this world, honey. and lastly, please give me the name of your stylist, i'd like to personally punch him in the face.
okay, moving on.
dear Joss Whedon,
thank you for, A) announcing there will be a Dr. Horrible's Sing-a-Long Blog II (if you haven't watched the first one, PLEASE do so. all the episodes are up on traileraddict.com and are available on instant streaming on Netflix. or you can just click here: part 1, part 2, part 3.) and B) signing on to write and direct the second Avengers movie. Dawson's Creek is now on Netflix instant streaming. i thank you for that. and also: FINALLY!

you guys, i love television. awesome and crappy. since getting a Netflix (and hulu+) account, i've become somewhat of a tv junkie. its kind of a problem, but i don't care. anyway, i've been waiting for Dawson's Creek to be available on instant streaming for like evs, so tonight when i was adding new shows to my instant queue (i added SO many new shows) i literally cheered when i came across DC. huzzah for teenage dramas, yes?

dear Darren Criss,
i love you so much.

can i just tell you, i'm addicted to Glee but even more so now that he's on it so much (i'm on season 3 so i'm a little behind). i just... i can't get enough of him. and the fact that he started out in Starkid? um, LOVE.

i want to make you. you are ADORBS.

dear Netflix (again),
two words: 10th Kingdom. two more: THANK YOU.

i just don't even know what to do with myself right now. i love, love, love that horribly corny show. its like, amazeballs.

also on my mind (but not in letter form) is the fact that all i want to do is read books and watch television/go see movies and then write reviews and get paid to do it. is there something like that out there in the world? if so, please let me know where to sign because i'm in. (i will also try food and wear clothes for money too. that's called advertising, right?)

oh my goodness, what a month.

june and july have been absolutely crazy. in a wonderful way, of course, but crazy nonetheless. first i quit my job in Texas to spend the summer in Utah, then i decided to make my vacation permanent and relocate to my beloved home town. now here i am, no job, no internet (worst. thing. EVER.) but having a blast and very excited for my new life.

1. right before i left for UT my brother and i took a trip down to Six Flags Over Texas. it was quite fun. and quite hot.

2. i shot this while driving home from work right before i left. at that time i was longing for the beautiful red rocks of St. George, UT and now i see that photo and yearn for the flat fields of Texas!

3. my plane ticket to UT. 

4. yogurt and berries with chai tea. best served when watching the sun come up.

5. vanilla bean frapuccino. yes, please.

6. my brother, sister and I at the firework show on the 4th of July.

7. my current book fling, The Life of Pi.

8. bbq food! on the 4th of July my brother and sister and i decided to have a mini bbq for just the three of us. we chowed down on hot dogs while we watched all of the Avengers films. it was such a great holiday.

9. cupcakes from my favorite cupcake parlor, 25 Main.

10. Greek yogurt (honey flavor), fruit and granola. a favorite snack.

11. one of my best friends gave me a Wreck This Journal as a gift. i was absolutely so tickled as i've almost bought one for myself several times but just never did. i'm certainly having quite a bit of fun with it.

12. i'm just so addicted to in-n-out. i've eaten there quite a bit this summer and i'm not sick of it yet.

today i decided to take a look and see what people were searching on google that was linking them back to my blog. i could not have been happier to find the following key words:

#5: 'jensen ackles, crazy funny'

maybe they are referring to the above blooper from supernatural... or maybe they were referring to the fact that jensen ackles is crazy beautiful but they accidentally typed 'funny' instead...

(he's also on the "man blog" all the time. it would be considered a sin if he weren't.)

i can't even stop squeeing right now. again, i love that 'tom hiddleston' and 'loki' searches are coming back to my blog. i just love it. he's absolutely, perfectly adorable and someday we're going to be married. and when we are i can say, "look darling, google led us to each other." and he'll smile his perfect smile, his eyes will do that annoying sparkly thing they do and then we'll... oh wait. *ahem* back to blogging...

i'm sorry that you died, but thanks for your museum.

while my friend, Kimberly, was here she and i and a couple of my siblings went to the 6th floor museum which is where president JFK was shot.
it was incredibly crowded, but still quite interesting.

i've always been fascinated with the Kennedy family and how cursed they seemed to have been. and jack kennedy was my favorite president so i was cool to see the photos and footage of his presidency.
it was also very sad though. and eerie. you literally stand right where john wilkes booth (ha, thank you DS&H! i meant lee harvey oswald. that's what i get for writing my posts late at night when i'm not thinking clearly.) stood when he killed the president. if that's not ominous, i don't know what is.

if you haven't been, it might be worth it to drop in at least once. that is what Dallas is known for so if you're looking for the ultimate touristy experience in Dallas, TX, go visit the 6th floor museum. or Cowboy's stadium. but don't blame me if its boring.

tornados.

i feel like this year's tornado season has been pretty mild. we had a few big ones come through but the thunder and rain wasn't as frequent, i didn't think.

i savored every storm we had though. i love the rain and the dark hazy sky bulging with thick, threatening clouds.

 there is something so wonderful and cozy about the stormy weather.

you know, last year, i was a pretty lazy girl when spring came around and i didn't get one, not one photo of the beautiful blooms that spattered Texas. this year i made sure that was not the case.
i snapped as many as i could.

i love Texas in bloom. its just so colorful and beautiful and whimsical.

i <3 you spring. except the allergies you bring. those you can keep.
