why i love my tags.

today i decided to take a look and see what people were searching on google that was linking them back to my blog. i could not have been happier to find the following key words:

#5: 'jensen ackles, crazy funny'
maybe they are referring to the above blooper from supernatural... or maybe they were referring to the fact that jensen ackles is crazy beautiful but they accidentally typed 'funny' instead...
{see jensen ackles posts here. also, if you love jensen as much as i do, you can see more of him on the "man blog" i maintain with my friend.}

#4: 'lilly collins, clary fray'
i'm glad the mortal instruments is getting more interest. it really is a great book series. i just hope, hope, hope the movies don't SUCK. *fingers crossed*

#3: 'loki, tom hiddleston'
for those of you who don't know, this ^ is who plays loki. can you see why i'm in love? bcuz he's beautiful (and literally near perfect). don't even tell me he's not. because i won't even listen. and the fact that that's what's leading peoples to my blog?! love. (he's also on the "man blog" all the time. it would be considered a sin if he weren't.)
{click here or here for more tom hiddleston.}

#2: 'loki, avengers, smile':
i can't even stop squeeing right now. again, i love that 'tom hiddleston' and 'loki' searches are coming back to my blog. i just love it. he's absolutely, perfectly adorable and someday we're going to be married. and when we are i can say, "look darling, google led us to each other." and he'll smile his perfect smile, his eyes will do that annoying sparkly thing they do and then we'll... oh wait. *ahem* back to blogging...
{here's some more loki...}

#1 most searched words that lead to my blog: jim sturgess
you gais! i love me some jim. apparently, so do a lot of other peeps. (p.s. if you like him, he also makes frequent appearances on our "man blog" you may want to check it out. but you may want to have a fan or cold water handy when you do. sorry for all the self-promotion. not sorry for all of the eye candy.)

what are people searching to stumble across your blog?

*other words searched that led to my blog include: the perks of being a wallflower, anne of green gables, batgirl, cape flattery washington (say what?!), harley quinn and joker love. all these topics are what people searched this week.

supernatural's super hotness.

i realize that it makes me pretty shallow to admit that 99.9% of the reason i even watch supernatural is because of jensen ackles. but... can you blame me?

i think not!!
who's your favorite television hottie?

♥ ♥

9/27/11

i'm talkin' television.

i've come to the conclusion that i watch a lot of t.v. and by that i mean i watch too many different shows to keep up with! i'm currently watching:
+ modern family seas 2
+ community s. 1
+ i love lucy s. 2
supernatural s. 1
+ dr who s. 1 (of the 2005 series)
+ gossip girl s. 4
+ the secret life of the american teenager s. 2
+ saturday night lights s. 1
new girl s. 1
and i just borrowed sherlock from a friend and have about 1,000 more shows on my iq on netflix. while it takes me quite some time to actually get through said shows because i rarely actually have time to watch them, i do enjoy getting lost in the awesomeness that is television.

well, to feel productive about my addiction, i've decided to whip up a few telly reviews now and then. everybody reviews films but few people review television! so tonight, i'm going to talk about a few of the shows i'm currently watching.
let's get started, shall we?
community
season 1
i.... don't love it. everyone kept telling me "community is the new 'office'," and "you have to watch it, its so much funnier than the office." welllllll its not the worst show i've seen but it is most definitely not comparable to the office either. i don't like the characters as much and i think that's what it all stems from. i think the actual story idea could have worked but so far, i am not feeling the chemistry between the characters and its really not as funny. i will say, the whole peirce/von rivalry thing is kind of humerus and i do like abed but... i prefer the office (and other shows) above this one.
however, i'm going to keep watching. perhaps it will get better.
supernatural
season 1
i have already seen season 1 and 2 of this but my friend hasn't so we get together once a week and watch it. i l-o-v-e this show. yes, it is creepy as all get out and i cover my eyes through most of it but i love the winchester brothers *ahem* dean to be exact. i really like the show because of the witty one liners the winchesters throw back and forth at one another. it adds a nice twist to the crazy-scary-through-the-whole-thing theme that horror films and shows usually carry.
and did i mention dean winchester (aka jensen ackles). i mean, he's worth every minute that i spend creeped out. and yes, the sfx are kiiiind of horrible but still, the story line is good and even the music rocks my socks. i love.
dr who
season 1 or, more accurately the 9th doctor
i. love. this. show. and i know that everyone's favorite dr is ten, but i'm so jiving on 9 right now! i love he and rose's chemistry. and i love all the weird creepy alien stuff that happens. this show is definitely for nerds, like me, and is definitely about as british as it gets.
what are you watching right now?

i have 1 stone and 2 birds to kill.

*you're probably going to learn more about me in this post than you ever wanted to know!

blogger award.
first and foremost i was awarded a blogger award like forevvvvver ago (no lies. i'm so bad at these sorts of things sometimes) and i think its high time i fulfill the requirements!
i was awarded the versatile blogger award.
first of all, thanks jamie of the cp! i love this award. versatile is definitely something i strive to be. and now. for the answers to the questions:

1) why did you create this blog? because i have a lot of thoughts swimming around in this head of mine and i needed an outlet like pronto. i've been on blogger for about 4 years now (under various different blog names) and i love being a blogger. it is the single most wonderful place for me to put my thoughts down.

2) what kind of blogs do you follow? i follow all sorts of blogs for all sorts of reasons. i follow the daybook because the writer, sydney is hilarious and entertaining, i follow busy bee lauren because she's real and has an all around lovely blog, i follow people like amy schmamey, musings of a hippie, lyds was here, and wonderment in neverland because i can get a real grasp of who they are by reading their blogs. i like a little bit of everything. versatility is the key. (hey! what do you know?!)

3) favorite make-up brand? maybelline (because i am NOT born with it!). hands down. i basically don't buy anything else.

4) favorite clothing brand? i don't really care about brands. but i love the stores forever 21, charlotte russe, h&m, urban outfitters and buffalo exchange. you want to know what my wardrobe looks like? visit those stores.

5) indispensable make-up product? mascara.

6) favorite color? i love all colors. but i think green and yellow are at the top of my favorites list...

7) favorite perfume? don't have one. but i'm a perfume snob. i'll drop $80 on a bottle of perfume. some of my faves are daisy by marc jacobs, juicy couture, and delicious by dkny. OH! and coco mademoiselle by chanel.

8) favorite film? don't have one of those either. but i do love juno and mean girls. there are only a select few movies that i love that don't fall under the "fantasy/action/adventure" genre. those two would be it. i also love miyazaki films (ponyo, spirited away, howl's moving castle) and then, um, 9, the truman show, a knights tale, chronicles of narnia: prince caspian, the social network, prince of persia, the pirates of the caribbean trilogy, lord of the rings... yeah, i could go on for forever.

9) what country would you like to visit and why? i'd like to visit ALL the countries, but the one i want to go to most is england. i think i was born with a british heart.

10) would you rather forget to put on mascara on one eye or forget blush on one side of your face? blush. it'd be less noticeable than the mascara thing.

thanks again, jamie for the award! you are too kind.
next up:

6 confessions
i've seen this floating around the bloggersphere lately (namely here and here) and i thought i'd jump on the old bandwagon and participate. why not, right? so here we go. 6 confessions from your's truly.

1) i'm super eclectic. i'm so eclectic that i'll even put mix cd's on shuffle, i re-design my blog 5 times a day, and i can't even stand to have all my fingernails all the same color (i usually paint my left ring and middle finger a different color than all the rest). i chalk it up to being an organized chaos type of girl.
{this is my hand. and yes. that is a toy gun in the background (the orange thing you see). we're mafia like that.}

2) while i'm at work i daydream about going home and washing my face. (i work at a restaurant and i always feel like all the food smells are seeping in to my pores. EW!) and when i get home, that is the first thing i do. scrub ze face.
{this are my facial must-haves. witch hazel TWICE daily, make-up remover once daily, burts bees acne solutions in the shower and biore pore strips once. a. week.}

3) i looooove the show wipeout. i watch it almost every week and i laugh my butt off every time. there is just something about people being stupid enough to try to run across big red balls and allowing themselves to be hit with things, thrown off things and such that gets me laughing. gah. love that show.

4) i have 6,756 songs on my iTunes. while i listen to all of them, my favorites are the ones that fall under the indie/indie rock/indie folk genres.
{this is not a dramatization. it is an actual picture of my iTunes right. this. second.}

5) guilty pleasure confession: i love the simple life (t.v. show with paris hilton and nicole richie). i own all four seasons. i watch them. i laugh. it is awesome. i have no shame in being a paris fan but nicole always has been and always will be my fave.

6) jensen ross ackles (dean winchester on supernatural), robert thomas pattinson (if you don't know who he is, then i don't think you own a tv/computer or ever go to the theatres), benjamin thomas barnes (prince caspian in the chronicles of narnia movies), and edward westwick (chuck bass on gossip girl) are my guilty pleasures as far as fake/celeb boyfriends go.
{did me putting their full names, middle names included, just make me look like a bigger teeny-bopper-creepster-stalker-status-fangirl than i actually am?}

what are your 6 confessions? link it up cause i'd love to read yours!

2010 in review.

(you can read my 2009 in review here.)

{january} - in january, i was jobless. boo. i did travel to utah though, i also learned how to make beanies, and had a little fun with the nestle crunch hotline. but other than sharing my doppelgangers, i didn't do much in january. it was kind of an uneventful month now that i look back on it...
{february} - february brought the olympics, another trip to utah, and valentines day. i also hosted my first ever give away in february and started making my summer plans. i attempted to do my first ever "fashion post" and slowly but surely gained new followers. what a month, huh? don't worry, my life got more exciting. i promise.
{march} - i moved into a new house and finally got a one-time-job as a wedding planner (which i LOVED by the way.), i also started making necessary changes in my life, and went to utah AGAIN. i was involved in a bomb threat and that was about the highlight of my march.
{april} - in april, i finished the wedding i was working on (big success btw), hosted my second ever give away and was in desperate need of some adventure in my life. i also got a job (that lasted about... 3 weeks.) and shared what kind of girl i am.
{may} - in may, my brother graduated from highschool and i moved from the dreary state of idaho to the gloriousness that is utah. i bought my first ever laptop (thank you student loan!) and shared all sorts of crushes during my 2010 crush week. i also went to my first book signing ever and met one of my favorite authors, aprilynne pike. (if you've never read wings, or spells, please go do it because they are AWESOME books. simply AWESOME.)
{june} - got ready to move into my new apartment, saw a lot of awesome movies AND started school. basically, moving and school alone took up most of my time. but somehow i found time to watch the world cup... 'somehow'.
{july} - i participated in more school, saw a woman with a full on obe won kenobi hair cut, got a real live job (first time i'd had one in over a year) and basically just loved on my utah (but still spent some time in idaho. figure that one out.)
{august} - lets see... what did i do in august? oh, right! i turned 25. even though 25 is a number i don't really care to discuss, i will gush about the she&him concert my besties took me to! i also finished my summer semester of college, and traveled a little bit more. i celebrated 8/9/10 and got a little 'contreversal' on my blog by sharing what types of physical traits i do and don't like in a guy.
{september} - in september, i mostly just worked. a lot. and packed getting ready to move AGAIN. my sister did visit though, and i spent my spare time doing super productive things like watching legendary tv shows.
{october} - i spent most of the month of october in st. george ut with my sister, but not before throwing my bestie a surprise murder mystery party! what fun, what fun. after that, i went to st. george and worked and stuff. 'and stuff' means... nothing. oh, i did watch supernatural (which required me to drool over my lover.)
{november} - i went to my second concert of the year, kate nash (amazing!!) and spent some time on colorado with some of my besties for life. then, harry potter was released and i saw it a couple of times. score. then i moved to a new state (3rd state i've lived in this year) and traveled quite a bit (i covered 5 states in 2 days. it was a LONG drive.) celebrated thanksgiving with the fam and started working AGAIN. oh and i loved on jensen a little bit more...
{december} - december was a long, hard month for me. i had zero christmas spirit and was just having an all around bad attitude. luckily, things got better (like the fact that i survived my first driving experience in texas) and i am now looking forward to ringing in 2011 to see what it has in store for me!!

what did your year look like?

12/13/10

sometimes rant.

sometimes, i think about going back to school...
...but then i remember i hate school. and that i'm no good at it. and that its expensive.
and then i think "eh. its probably better that i'm not in school."

sometimes, i think about traveling the world...
...and then i smile. because i know, someday i will.

sometimes, i wonder what it'd be like to be someone else for a day...
...and then i think about all the movies i've seen where people trade places for a day and how grateful they are, when its all said and done, that they are just them and not someone else. then i wonder if its really like that. would i really be eager to just be me again, or would i enjoy being someone else?

sometimes, i think about jensen ross ackles...
...that's a lie. i always think about jra. ;)

sometimes, i wonder if i'll ever achieve my dreams...
...or if they will always just be a dream.

sometimes, i think "if i just had more money..."
...but then i know if i had more money, i'd be thinking "if in only had [this] or [that]" because the human race is never just grateful and content. they are always wanting. and i am a human.

sometimes, i feel like i'll never be happy again...
...but then when i am happy again, i know that being sad allows one to feel happy, so then, i'm grateful for sad.
even if it does suck.

sometimes, i get so tired that i just sit and think about going to bed...
...rather than actually going to bed.

sometimes, i smile for no reason.
those are the best times.

*all pictures (except for the one of me) courtesy of weheartit. what a cop out, i know. ugh.

best friends make the best band aids.

this week was so rough for me. i was in the worst rut that i just couldn't get out of. it didn't matter what anyone said or did, i was just not having it... then my bestie called. after our 2 1/2+ hour talk about nothing and everything all at once, i was (am) feeling MUCH better about life. honestly, she really didn't say anything that was life changing, or offer any astounding words of advice, she just talked to me. and that was exactly what i needed. i am so grateful for someone like her in my life. someone who helps me more than ever without even knowing or intending to. that's the best kind of help and the best kind of person, if you ask me.
anyway, every time we are together, it is reiterated to me over and over again why she's my best friend. our conversations are so bizarre and sometimes even we don't make sense to each other, but it works for us which is what matters most, right?
just to give you some insight to our crazy lives, here are a few bits from our convo last night:

(when discussing school)
me: yeah, i drove by a community college the other day and i started thinking 'hmmm maybe i should take a few classes again. then i said to myself anna, what are you thinking! you know that's about the worst possible idea ever.'

kdp: you know, if you're going to be in the FBI, they are going to require schooling. (*side note, did i mention i want to join the FBI? no? well, i do.)

me: no. the FBI is going to take one look at me and know they just have to have me. they're going to be begging for my mad, wicked skills.

kdp: right. and then they'll see my awesome anthropological skills...

me: yeah, and then you know what i'm going to do with my FBI skillage?

kdp: hmm?

me: successfully stalk and locate jensen ackles.

kdp: i think you're going to need some anthropological assistance with that.

(when discussing our weird baby dreams that we each had)
kdp: isn't it weird we both had baby dreams?

me: yeah. me with my fatherless baby and you with your nameless baby. (*sidenote in kdp's dream, her baby boy had no name. in mine, my baby girl had no dad...)

kdp: maybe my nameless child and your fatherless child are going to get married someday.

me: yeah, they are dream bff's right now. only eloise (*my dream-baby) is growing at the rate of reneseme so your baby is going to have to love a cougar. she's like benjamin button only in reverse. so, reverse, reverse!

kdp: you're not making a lick of sense right now.

me: okay, forget i said anything about benjamin button. don't even think about it.

kdp: okay. i've had a men in black memory erase. i've forgotten all about it.

me: and i've had a... what's that other movie where they erase the memories?

we then spent the next 45 minutes trying to think of other movies that had memory wiping in them. we both could see scenes in the movie that we were thinking of, but we weren't making any connections. finally, i googled what we could remember and it turns out we were talking about 3 different movies (paycheck, terminator: salvation, and push). no wonder we weren't making any connections!
honestly? it was all a little ridiculous.
but it was exactly what i needed.

12/3/10

weekly love.

here is what i particularly l♥ved this week:

{belle & sebastian and iron & wine.}
i compiled a play list of all the songs of theirs that i have and listened to it non-stop most of the week.
*sigh* i love stupendous music.

{the re-opening of my i heart 365 blog where i take a picture a day of things i love for 365 days. i'm so glad to have finally started the project.}

{my girl, zooey deschanel}

{the dallas weather}
it has been in the high 50's low 60's all week. warm enough to still wear dresses or shorts, cool enough to wear a light jacket if you want. aka PERFECTION! that's my kind of winter weather.

{this blooper from supernatural} (with, you guessed it, jra)
(i know i already shared the clip on my music post, but if you didn't watch it then, now is a good time to do so!)

{16 & pregnant/teen mom}
i've been watching 16 & pregnant to refresh my memory before i start teen mom.
why this show is so addicting, i'll never know. i do know one thing though, watching this right before bed has been giving me some cRaZy weird dreams. like, whoa.

{designing new blog headers for friends}
this is the newest header i've designed for a friends blog. i'm no expert or professional, but i do like putting things together and making them look cute!
you can view my other work here.

and {these boots}
i found them in a store called runway in idaho falls, id.
they were all of $10. awesome boots ftw!

what'd you l♥ve this week?

11/30/10

in which i share my current music obsessions.

its time to share music again!
i love hearing new songs and getting hooked on new artists (when i say 'new' i mean i haven't heard them before. not necessarily a brand new artist. although, those are fun too.)
it makes listening to music so much more of an experience and its very rare that i hear stuff i don't like (which is probably why i have over 6,000 songs on my iTunes right now...)

anyway, to carry on the spirit of september and october's music share, i've decided to do one at the end of each month from here on out. i'll be sharing who and/or what i obsessed over in that month.
feel free to share music with me as well, as i love finding new gems!
(click on the song/artist and you'll be re-directed to youtube where you can hear the song and watch the music video if there is one.)

by: kansas
on the album: leftoverture
so, i first heard this song awhile ago at a friends house while playing guitar hero. every since then, i've quite liked the song. as of late, i can't stop listening to it. although i'm not a fan of excessive guitar solos and such, i do love this song.

avril lavigne
album: the best damn thing
(mostly hot and when you're gone but really, the whole album)
this is an album i never get sick of. i've been listening to it quite frequently lately and there isn't one song that i'll skip over. avril rocks i don't care who you are!

by: belle and sebastian
on the album: juno
so, the juno soundtrack in and of itself is one of my all time favorite soundtracks ever. but i love this song. its so quaint and chill. i absolutely love belle and sebastian. i haven't heard one song of theirs that i don't like.

by: kate nash
on the album: made of bricks
since i just saw kate nash in concert not too long ago, i've been really hooked on her music. this song is my favorite by her and i think its such a beautiful love song! i think we all feel this way at one point or another.

by: survivor
on the album: eye of the tiger
i love old songs like these. i usually have a hard time taking them seriously because they are just so cheesy. classic, but cheesy. but i will still listen to them non-stop sometimes. who doesn't love a little survivor every now and then??
(so, jra (jensen ross ackles) did his own little diddy to this song. you should definitely check it out.
its amazing. promise.)

by: train
on the album: save me san francisco
this song is so marvelous. its up beat and happy and i love it. it makes me think of wearing a cute sundress and running through an orange orchard, which would be magnificent.
(lets just not talk about how horrible this music video is, okay?)

by: iron & wine
on the album: twilight
let me first just say that iron & wine is one of my favorite groups, bands, whatever you want to call them. okay! so this song. LOVE it! its in the same category as birds (by kate nash) for me. beautiful lyrics and so well put in a less-than-ordinary way.

m i k a
(click on each letter of his name to be directed to different songs of his. kinda fun, huh?)
album: the boy who knew too much
so, i love me some mika. i could listen to both his albums all the time and not get sick of them.
he's such an interesting artist. most of his songs are actually super tragic and depressing, but the music is pretty upbeat so he's uber ironic in that way.

clark gable
by: the postal service
 on the album: give up
this is such a quaint song. i love it. and i can just picture it all in my mind. i just feel happy when i feel it.

the way i am
by: ingrid michaelson
on the album: girls and boys
i. love. this. song. it is like the girl version of adam sandler's grow old with you, which i also love. its such a sweet song and i love how she just lays it all out there. wish there were more people like that out there in the world!

what are you listening to?
i want to know.

11/29/10

love me some...

...jensen [ross] ackles.
*swoon*
*sigh*
*drool*
*squee*

yes. I am celeb crushing on him big time.
he's even made it in to my top 5 list of celeb crushes of all time.
(he's in company with robert pattionson, justin timberlake, ben barnes, and ed westwick.)
because he's so wonderful.

i've been watching supernatural like cRaZy.
as well as smallville and a few other things, just to get my jensen fix.
he's been in SO many cw shows which makes it very easy to fangirl over him.

isn't he pretty?!
i most definitely think so.
and he's funny too. definitely a big plus.
*sigh*

yep. i'm fangirling over him.
major.

sorry rob and ben.
i've found an american that i like as much as i like the two of you.
you'll just have to deal.
